1. External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar emphasised the India and Afghanistan to work together in combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. In his opening remarks during the meeting with the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, in New Delhi, Dr Jaishankar said both nations have a common commitment towards growth and prosperity.
A press conference by Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi in New Delhi has caused outrage because no women were allowed to attend the event. Muttaqi is a part of the Taliban government in Afghanistan and the group is known for the restrictions it imposes on women, essentially barring them from working.
2. Terror groups like the Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad have long operated from Afghan soil. But the Taliban has wiped out all terrorists in the last four years, claimed visiting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi during his India visit, advising Pakistan to follow the same path of peace.

6. The Government has announced that the sacred relics of Buddha will be taken from India to the Kalmykia Republic of Russia for an exposition. The Ministry of Culture said the exposition will be held in the capital city of Elista between the 11th and the 18th of this month aiming to bless local devotees and conduct religious service for the predominantly Buddhist population of the region.
