1. President Smt. Droupadi Murmu will be on a three-day visit to Gujarat beginning today. She will perform Darshan and Aarti at Somnath Temple tomorrow. She will also visit the Gir National Park and interact with the members of the local tribal community at Sasan Gir.

2. PM Modi inaugurated the first Phase of Navi Mumbai International Airport built at a cost of around 19,650 crore rupees at Mumbai in Maharashtra yesterday. He also launched other connectivity projects. With this, Mumbai joins the league of global cities such as London, New York, and Tokyo that have more than one international airport. The Prime Minister noted that in 2014, India had only 74 airports, while today the number has increased to more than 160.

3. The Wildlife Week 2025 celebrations in Dehradun brought into light India’s renewed focus on encouraging harmony between humans and wildlife. Union Minister Bhupender Yadav led the event at the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy.

4. The first-ever Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference will begin in Mehsana in North Gujarat today. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the conference. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will be present at the inaugural session.

5. Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan interacted with weavers and artisans from the northeast at the National Conclave on Weaving India Together in New Delhi.

6. Union Minister for Communications, Jyotiraditya Scindia, inaugurated the Satcom Summit on Space Networks for Universal Connectivity at the India Mobile Congress 2025 in New Delhi.

7. In Jammu and Kashmir, the pilgrimage to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi has resumed after being suspended for three consecutive days due to adverse weather conditions.

8. In Bihar, talks are ongoing as political parties in both the NDA and the Grand Alliance try to resolve differences over seat sharing for the upcoming Assembly elections. Despite several rounds of meetings, no final decision has been made yet on how the seats will be distributed.

9. The Election Commission has deployed 824 flying squads in Bihar to ensure speedy redressal of complaints within 100 minutes. A complaint monitoring system has also been set up, including a call centre number 1950, where the public and political parties can lodge grievances. The Bihar Assembly elections for 243 seats will be held in two phases, on the 6th and the 11th November, with counting of votes scheduled for the 14th November.

10. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved four major railway multitracking projects worth ₹24,634 crore across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh, adding 894 route km to the Indian Railways network.

11. Manipur celebrates Mera Hou Chongba, a festival symbolizing Hill-Valley unity, with tribal village chiefs gathering at the Manipur Royal Palace in Imphal. Led by King Maharaja Sanajaoba Leishemba, the festival features a ritual march to Kangla, traditional ceremonies, exchange of gifts, cultural dances, and a grand feast.

12. India achieved record solar and wind power generation in H1 2025, cutting power sector emissions by 24 million tonnes, according to Ember. Solar output rose 25%, reaching 9.2% of total electricity, while wind power grew 29% to 5.1%.

13. The India-AI Impact Summit 2026 logo, unveiled by the Government of India, blends ethics, heritage, and modern AI vision, featuring the Ashoka Chakra to symbolize ethical governance and constitutional values.

1. Chief Justice of India, Justice B R Gavai, praised the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) for its significant contribution to the justice delivery system while urging renewed focus on structural and procedural improvements to meet contemporary challenges.

2. Centre has asked Drug Controllers of all states and UTs to take measures to ensure testing before the manufacture and release of each batch of pharmaceutical formulations to the market.

3. A controversy erupted in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills after the Telangana Waqf Board allotted about 2,500 square yards of land near Idgah and Chowkandi mosques in Shaikpet for a Muslim graveyard. Defence authorities objected, claiming the land falls under their control, and have halted related works pending verification of ownership.

The special investigation team (SIT) of Assam police criminal investigation department (CID) on Wednesday arrested a police officer and a close relative of Zubeen Garg in connection with the cultural icon’s death in Singapore last month in a swimming incident.

4. The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI yesterday carried out searches at nearly 40 locations across Delhi NCR, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Kerala and West Bengal in connection with a transnational cyber-enabled digital arrest fraud.

1. In Andhra Pradesh, at least six workers were killed and two injured in an explosion at a fireworks manufacturing unit at Rayavaram mandal in Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district.

2. Two scooters parked in the congested Mishri Bazar near a mosque here exploded seconds apart on Wednesday evening, injuring half a dozen people and damaging nearby shops. The blasts occurred around 7:30 pm in the crowded Moolganj area, Kanpur.

1. Indian Air Force (IAF) celebrated the 93rd anniversary yesterday: President Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, and PM Modi extended their greetings to all air warriors, veterans, and their families on Air Force Day. They praised Air Force for protecting the nation’s skies in even the most challenging of situations.

2. Indian peacekeepers in the disputed Abyei region between Sudan and South Sudan were honored by UNISFA’s Acting Head of Mission, Maj Gen Robert Yaw Affram, recognizing their dedicated service.

India remains the largest contributor to UN peacekeeping, with over 5,000 troops deployed worldwide and nearly 180 sacrifices made.

3. Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, the first Indian to reach the International Space Station (ISS), is the brand ambassador for Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025, urging over one crore students from classes 6-12 across 1.5 lakh schools to participate.

Organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, the initiative encourages students to innovate around four themes: Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, Vocal for Local, and Samriddhi.

4. The DRDO, in collaboration with the Integrated Defence Staff and Tri-Services, has released Indian Radio Software Architecture (IRSA) 1.0, a national standard aimed at achieving interoperability in military communication through Software Defined Radios (SDRs).

Launched on 6 October 2025, IRSA defines standardized interfaces, APIs, and waveform portability, supporting indigenous, interoperable, and future-ready communication systems.
