1. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 from October 8-11 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, showcasing Asia’s premier telecom and tech event themed “Innovate to Transform”.
With over 1.5 lakh visitors, 7,000+ global delegates, and 400+ exhibitors, IMC 2025 focuses on cutting-edge areas like 6G, AI, cybersecurity, satellite communication, and telecom manufacturing.

2. The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, presented the MY Bharat – National Service Scheme (NSS) Awards 2022-23 at Rashtrapati Bhavan on October 6, 2025. The NSS, launched in 1969, is a key initiative by the Government of India to foster personality development through voluntary community service.

3. The Union Cabinet has announced a nationwide celebration of the 150th anniversary of the national song “Vande Mataram,” composed by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in Sanskrit and featured in his 1882 novel Anandamath. Its first public recital by Rabindranath Tagore in 1896 gave it national prominence.

4. Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched Goa’s landmark ‘Mhaje Ghar’ Yojana, granting ownership rights to residents living on government and community lands, benefiting nearly 11 lakh people.

5. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated India’s first cooperative-run Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) and Potash Granule Project at the Shankarrao Kolhe Cooperative Sugar Factory in Kopargaon, Maharashtra, showcasing a model circular economy.

6. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the first phase of the Patna Metro Rail Service, marking the launch of the Priority Corridor, a 3.6-km elevated stretch from ISBT to Bhootnath Station.

7. Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy and Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu inaugurated the state’s first commercial coal mine at Namchik Namphuk in Changlang district on October 6, 2025, marking a historic milestone.

8. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved four multi-tracking railway projects worth 24 thousand 634 crore rupees. The projects will cover 18 districts across four states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh increasing the existing network of Indian Railways by about 894 Kilometers.

9. The Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation (DDWS) partnered with BISAG-N to develop a GIS-integrated decision-support platform for the Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen), enhancing digital monitoring of rural water and sanitation.

10. The Centre has approved over 903 crore rupees to Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan under National Disaster Response Fund for expansion and modernization of fire services.

11. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav today held a meeting with Ministers from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi on stubble management. The Meeting held in New Delhi focused on strategies to curb air pollution caused by stubble burning and promote better utilisation of paddy residue.

12. PM Modi on Tuesday entered his 25th year in governance and recalled the day that he took oath in 2001 as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.

13. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland, Manipur, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, and Tamil Nadu.

1. The Supreme Court will hear on Friday a plea seeking a CBI investigation into the Karur stampede, which took place a rally led by actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay on September 27.

2. Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been submitted to the Supreme Court, seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the deaths of children in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh.

3. After a year-long wait and a reprimand from the Delhi High Court, the central government has finally allotted a new government house to Arvind Kejriwal, national coordinator of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and former Chief Minister of Delhi. Kejriwal has been allotted Government House No. 95 in the prestigious Lodhi Estate area of Delhi.

4. The Karnataka Transgender Task Force (KTTF) has raised serious concerns over discrimination and structural challenges faced by the transgender community during the state government’s ongoing socio-educational survey, which commenced on September 22.

5. Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) has mandated the immediate closure of Bigg Boss Kannada’s studio Bidadi Bengaluru South. This decision follows significant breaches of environmental laws by Vels Studios and Entertainment Pvt Ltd, also known as Jolly Wood Studios & Adventures. The notice was issued on October 6, demanding an immediate halt to all activities at the location.

1. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has granted Self-Regulatory Organisation (SRO) status to the Finance Industry Development Council (FIDC) for the NBFC sector, aiming to enhance industry discipline, risk monitoring, and customer protection.

2. The Government has said that over five lakh loan applications amounting to 10 thousand nine hundred seven crore rupees have been sanctioned by Public Sector Banks (PSBs) under Prime Minister Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana so far. The Finance Ministry said the loan has been sanctioned to provide financial support to the beneficiaries in installing rooftop solar systems.

3. The World Bank has raised India’s growth forecast to 6.5 per cent for financial year 2026 from its earlier projection of 6.3 per cent in June, citing resilient domestic demand, strong rural recovery and the positive impact of Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms.

1. Happy Indian Air Force Day It is celebrated on 8th October every year. 🇮🇳✈️
. The Indian Air Force (IAF) (IBhāratīya Vāyu Senā) was officially established on 8 October 1932 as an auxiliary air force of the British India which honoured India’s aviation service during World War.

Theme : “Touch the Sky with Glory” (the IAF motto from the Bhagavad Gita: “Nabhah Sparsham Deeptam”).

2. Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who is also an honorary officer of the Indian Army, on Tuesday (October 7, 2025) received a commendation by the Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi in New Delhi, for his outstanding contribution to society and his continued association with the Armed Forces. The actor was recently conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

3. All three Indian defence forces—Army, Navy, and Air Force—will participate together for the first time post-Operation Sindoor in Exercise Cold Start, focused on drone and counter-drone warfare. This drill will take place at Babina and Mhow military locations in Central India, emphasizing inter-service integration of unmanned aerial systems and their countermeasures.

4. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially confirmed that its Su-30MKI fighters are now equipped with Israeli-made Rampage missiles. This milestone was announced by Air Marshal AP Singh during a press conference with local media.

5. India and Russia commenced the Indra-2025 joint military exercises on October 6, 2025, at the Mahajan training ground in Rajasthan. This large-scale drill will continue until October 15 and aims to strengthen defence collaboration and operational coordination between the two armies, particularly in counterterrorism operations.

6. The national conference on defence manufacturing commenced in Delhi, focusing on advancing India’s indigenous defence sector and export capabilities. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the event at Vigyan Bhawan, emphasising the importance of the platform in strengthening coordination between the central government and regional authorities.

7. India has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) indicating preparations for a significant missile test in the Bay of Bengal, scheduled between October 15 and 17, 2025. The designated test area covers a maximum missile range of 1,480 kilometers, signalling a substantial but shorter-range missile flight compared to recent tests.

8. The government has set a target to achieve defence manufacturing worth three lakh crore rupees and defence exports worth 50 thousand crore rupees by the year 2029. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said this while addressing a Conference on Opportunities in Defence Manufacturing in New Delhi.
