1. The Election Commission releases final voter list with 7.42 crore names for Bihar Assembly Elections.
2. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has proposed making Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) mandatory for all electric cars, buses, and trucks starting October 1, 2027, to improve road safety.
New electric vehicle models must have AVAS from October 2026.
3. Delhi is set to get its first official logo, a move that the government says will give the national capital a distinct visual identity for the first time. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the formation of an expert committee to evaluate and finalise the design.
4. Recent surveys across seven Delhi Development Authority (DDA) biodiversity parks reveal rise in dragonfly and damselfly populations. Between September 25 and 27, 2025, a 54% increase was recorded compared to the previous year. The total count rose from 8,630 to 13,253 individuals.
5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Durga Puja Pandal at Kali Bari in C R Park in the national capital yesterday evening and participated in Durga Puja celebrations. The Prime Minister performed Aarti and offered his obeisance to the Goddess Durga. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was also present on the occasion.
6. The government has extended the cut-off date to exercise choice for Unified Pension Scheme-UPS by two months, till 30th of November this year for eligible existing employees, past retirees and legally wedded spouses of the deceased past retirees.
7. The Telugu Thalli Flyover in Hyderabad was on Tuesday, September 30 officially renamed as Telangana Thalli flyover.
8. In Telangana, the celebrations of Bathukamma Festival, organised by the state Government, have set two new Guinness World Records last evening. The event has been held at the Saroornagar Stadium in Hyderabad. The two world records for its largest Bathukamma floral decoration consist of about seven tonnes of flowers and of 63.11 feet high, 11 feet wide. The second record for the highly synchronised performance by a large number of women, of 1354.
9. Union Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that a special team will be formed within the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) to address challenges related to sugarcane cultivation in the country.
10. Union Minister for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh has said, India’s pharma exports are expected to cross 30 billion dollars rising from the current 27 billion dollars by this year.
11. The Maharashtra government has opened an exhibition of important documents related to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri at the Mulund area in Mumbai. State Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar urged citizens to see these valuable documents at the Maharashtra Seva Sangh, Pandit Nehru Road in Mulund (West). It will remain open till October 11.

12. The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathawada for next two days. Similar conditions are also expected over parts of Northeastern India, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next two to three days.

1. The Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Panaji Zonal Office, has carried out search operations at the premises linked to the former minister of state in Haryana, Gopal Kanda, and his family members. The ED officials reportedly recovered cash worth Rs 2.25 crore, $14,000, foreign currency of over Rs 9 lakh, and bundles of incriminating documents.

1. Small Industries Development Bank of India (Sidbi) reported a 19.5% rise in net profit, reaching a record Rs 4,811 crore in FY25, with its balance sheet crossing Rs 5.6 lakh crore. The bank’s asset base grew 8.7%, and the loans portfolio increased 8.8%.
2. India’s industrial output grew 4% in August 2025, signaling uneven economic momentum. While mining rebounded strongly (6%) and electricity output improved (4.1%), manufacturing slowed to 3.8% from 6% in July.

1. The Indian Army has celebrated the 199th Gunners Day on 28 September 2025, commemorating the founding of the 5 (Bombay) Mountain Battery in 1827. This day is celebrated annually to honor the legacy, service, and sacrifices of the Regiment of Artillery, one of the most distinguished arms of the Indian Army.
2. The Border Security Force (BSF) has launched a new AI and GIS-based Decision Support System (DSS) command centre to enhance border security on the Pakistan and Bangladesh borders.
3. Deputy Chief of the Indian Air Force, Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti, highlighted India’s ambitious goal to develop an indigenous aerospace engine within the next 10-12 years.He emphasised that this objective requires sustained efforts from both the defence sector and industry stakeholders.
4. The Indian Navy has signed a significant ₹47 crore contract with Kochi-based deep-tech start-up EyeROV for the procurement of advanced Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (UWROVs).
5. Pakistan has claimed the successful test-firing of its newly developed cruise missile, the Fatah-4, which has a declared strike range of 750 kilometres. The training launch was conducted under the supervision of the Army Rocket Force Command, with participation from senior military officials, scientists, and engineers.
