8. Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has urged the centre to compensate revenue loss with the new GST structure. He said Telangana state will be losing 7000 crore rupees revenue annually under the GST rate rationalization.

9. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu said that the new GST 2.0 reforms will boost the ‘Make in India’ initiative and help increase domestic production.

10. Karnataka government has launched the Rs 1,000 crore LEAP (Local Economy Accelerator Programme) to drive innovation and create five lakh jobs across the state, focusing on growth beyond Bengaluru.

11. Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Startup Conclave 2025 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, a two-day event organized by the State Education department. The conclave brings together over 1,000 startups, 5,000 innovators, 100 industry mentors, 50+ venture funds, and key policymakers.

12. The Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal-led Grand Alliance in Bihar released the first part of their joint election manifesto ahead of the state Assembly polls, making several announcements for the Extremely Backward Classes (EBCs).

14. The flood situation in Punjab has now been stabilised as all 219 relief camps, which accommodated over 8200 affected people, have been closed and affected people have returned to their homes.

15. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Odisha and Chhattisgarh. IMD has also predicted parts of North East, Bihar, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Telangana, and Vidarbha for two to three days.

1. A joint operation in Jharkhand’s Gumla district resulted in the killing of three members of the banned Maoist splinter group Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP) on Wednesday morning. The encounter took place around 8 a.m. in a dense forest area near Kechki village.

2. Restrictions imposed in Leh after violent protests erupted today. Locals took to the street and protests for demand of Sixth Schedule and Statehood for Ladakh. Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta has strongly condemned incidents of Violence and appeals for Peace.

3. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), has issued a notice to the Chief Secretary of Delhi for an infant’s death due to lack of facilities after delivery in the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) under the Delhi Government.

4. The Uttar Pradesh government has prohibited caste-based political rallies, public displays, and caste-related markings in police records, citing threats to public order and national unity. The directive, issued by officiating Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar to all district magistrates, secretaries, and police heads, follows a September 16 Allahabad High Court order.

3. The next-generation GST reforms represent a significant step towards simplifying India’s indirect tax system. People can now avail the benefits of GST reforms, which were already implemented on the 22nd of this month. Under the new structure, the GST council has simplified the earlier four-tier structure of 5, 12, 18, and 28 per cent into a two-tier structure of 5 and 18 per cent. By reducing the tax rate on a wide range of goods and services, the reforms are bringing substantial relief to citizens.

4. Jio Payments Bank has launched ‘Savings Pro’, allowing customers to earn up to 6.5% interest on surplus funds by automatically investing amounts exceeding a set threshold into low-risk overnight mutual funds via the JioFinance app.

5. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has cancelled the Certificate of Registration (CoR) of Datta Finance and Trading Pvt Ltd, a New Delhi-based NBFC, due to irregular digital lending practices.

1. India will conduct its biggest drone exercise called COLD START from 6th to 10th October.

2. Indian drone manufacturer ideaForge Technology Limited has announced the formation of a joint venture with US-based First Breach to supply and manufacture unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the United States.

3. The Indian Army’s 18th rapid division carried out a large-scale maneuver exercise along the western front towards Pakistan.

4. Hyderabad Based Zen Technologies Launches India’s First AI-enabled Fast Attack Craft Simulator: Zen Technologies has launched India’s first AI enabled fast attack craft simulator for naval training.

5. HAL to Lease 12 IJT Yaschas Stage-II Trainer Aircraft to IAF: The chairman of Hindustan Aeronautics has confirmed that the company will lease 12 YASCHAS intermediate jet trainer aircraft to the Indian Air Force for evaluation.

6. India’s Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will soon be equipped with 200 CSR 338 sniper rifles, following a defence contract awarded to Icomm-Caracal, a partnership between Abu Dhabi-based Caracal and Hyderabad’s Icomm Tele Ltd, a subsidiary of Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL).

7. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), in collaboration with its Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment (CVRDE) unit and Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (L&T), is spearheading the development of an indigenous turret system for the Zorawar light tank.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has agreed to lease 12 Intermediate Jet Trainer (IJT) Yashas Stage-II aircraft to the Indian Air Force (IAF) for comprehensive evaluation of its Stage-II pilot training requirements.This leasing represents a significant step in validating and operationalising the upgraded Yashas platform, which aims to replace the aging HJT-16 Kiran intermediate jets.

9. India’s proposed Sudarshan Chakra air defence system has been described by senior military leadership as the “mother of all air defence systems combined together.” The ambitious project, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Independence Day speech earlier this year, is envisioned as a 10-year undertaking.

10. The Indian Navy is set to commission its second state-of-the-art Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC), INS Androth, on October 6 at the Naval Dockyard in Visakhapatnam.

11. Russia will complete delivery of all five S-400 Triumf air defence systems to India by 2026, under the $5.43 billion deal signed in 2018. Four systems have already been delivered, significantly boosting India’s long-range air defence capabilities against threats like fighter jets, UAVs, and missiles.
