7. Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurated the Additional District & Sessions Judge Circuit Court at Serchhip District Court on Friday. The Circuit Court will serve as a venue for hearing cases by the Additional District & Sessions Judge assigned to Serchhip district.

8. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams board said it has approved the construction of a new temple in Belagavi, aimed at benefiting devotees from North Karnataka, Goa, and Maharashtra.

9. Tamil Nadu has become the first State to issue identity cards to women Self-Help Group (SHG) members, with Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin inaugurating the distribution and announcing ₹3,500 crore in loans for SHGs.

10. Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam chief, actor-politician Vijay on Saturday took his political fight directly to DMK President and Chief Minister M K Stalin’s native turf of Tiruvarur and said his party’s goal is to ensure that there is no “family dominance” in Tamil Nadu.

11. The Ministry of Railways on Saturday announced a cut in the maximum selling price of its packaged drinking water, Rail Neer. According to a circular issued by the Railway Board, the price of a 1-litre bottle of Rail Neer has been reduced from Rs 15 to Rs 14, while the price of a 500 ml bottle has been brought down from Rs 10 to Rs 9.

12. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday announced at the Global Ayyappa Sangam that projects worth over ₹1000 crore would be executed for the development of Sabarimala to make pilgrimage to the Lord Ayyappa shrine safe and convenient for the devotees.

1. The Allahabad High Court on Friday (September 19, 2025) refused to quash a First Information Report (FIR) lodged against folk singer Neha Singh Rathore, who is accused of promoting hatred between communities and endangering the sovereignty and unity of India with her allegedly provocative social media posts on the Pahalgam terror attack.

2. The Election Commission (EC) has de-listed 474 registered unrecognised political parties for violating norms, particularly for not contesting any elections since 2019, marking a total of 808 such parties removed in the last two months.

3. A Delhi court on Saturday deferred to September 24 the bail plea of Gaganpreet Kaur in the Dhaula Kuan BMW accident case after noting the Delhi police’s submission that some aspects of the investigation were still pending Kaur, 38, was allegedly behind the wheel of the BMW car that rammed into the two-wheeler of a senior finance ministry official, leaving him dead and his wife grievously injured.

4. Biju Janata Dal MLAs created ruckus in the Odisha assembly for the third consecutive day on Saturday over alleged fertiliser scarcity across the state.

1. The Indian Coast Guard ship Adamya, the first in a series of eight Adamya‑class fast patrol vessels, was commissioned at Paradip Port on Friday. The 51-metre long fast patrol vessel has been designed and built by Goa Shipyard Limited with over 60% indigenous content.

2. First-ever Indian defence manufacturing plant under Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative being set-up in Morocco.

3. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved two proposals of the ministry of home affairs to appoint new director generals of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

4. Air Marshal Sanjiv Ghuratia, Air Officer-in-Charge Maintenance (AOM), Indian Air Force, visited the C295 Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Vadodara to assess the status of India’s transport aircraft programme.

5. India is preparing to set up a strategic reserve of critical minerals for defence manufacturing, with the aim of ensuring uninterrupted supplies during emergencies. This is the first public confirmation of such an initiative, revealed by Rajesh Kumar Singh, a senior Ministry of Defence official.

6. India is commemorating 60 years of the 1965 India-Pakistan War this month by honouring the bravery and sacrifices of its armed forces.
