3. Russia & Belarus begins joint military exercises on Monday. The two allies will conduct air force drills till 1st February using all Belarus military airfields.

4. On Sunday, a Yeti Airlines flight from Kathmandu that crashed as it approached the city of Pokhara, killing at least 68 people. A Co-pilot Anju Khatiwada in Nepal plane crash lost her pilot husband in a similar plane crash 16 years ago.

5. Germany: A replica of India’s famous Sanchi Gate unveiled in Berlin. A replica of the famous East Gate of Sanchi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in India. It is a stunning addition to the outdoor space of Berlin’s Humboldt Forum museum complex.

6. UN blacklists LeT deputy chief Abdul Rehman Makki as ‘global terrorist’. Pakistan-based deputy chief of terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba Abdul Rehman Makki has been blacklisted as a global terrorist by the United Nations. The UN Security Council’s Al-Qaida Sanctions Committee added Makki Monday to its list of individuals and entities subject to the assets freeze, travel ban, and arms embargo.
