1. India announces donation of 12,500 doses of pentavalent vaccines to Cuba.

2. The first two day G-20 Infrastructure Working Group (IWG) meeting under G20 India Presidency will be held in Pune on Monday.

3. PM Modi expressed grief over the plane crash in Nepal’s Pokhara that claimed the lives of 70 people. The search operation has been halted for the day. The plane was carrying 72 people, including five Indians and four crew members.

4. Telangana Industries Minister K. Tarakarama Rao will be leading a delegation from the State to the World Economic Forum (WEF), to be organised from today in Davos, Switzerland.

In 2022, the summit was hosted in May instead of the usual month of January because of COVID-19-related restrictions.

7. 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit off the coast of Indonesia’s Sumatra island early Monday.

8. A former Afghan female MP, Mursal Nabizada (32), who refused to flee Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover was shot dead along with her bodyguard by unidentified assailants in Kabul late Saturday night.
