Delhi-based electronica producer duo Tech Panda x Kenzani has established a signature style that has seen them mix international styles with Indian sounds to great success. Their new release, ‘Snake Charmer’ sees them return to their roots while crafting a future-facing sound attuned to the dancefloor.
Designed to be a high-octane festival anthem – just in time for the fast-approaching music festival season –‘Snake Charmer’ marries the hypnotic, dulcet tones of the shehnai with percussive production showcasing the duo’s continued experimentation with blending folk elements and electronic music.
The folk-tinged production exemplifies the duo’s genre-defying approach, refined through recent releases like ‘Ek Tara’, ‘Khoyo Again’, and ‘Duniya’.
“This dynamic track exudes raw power and energy, rendering it an ideal selection for a diverse range of settings, from vibrant festivals to joyous moments,” says the duo, adding, “We always wanted to have a Tech Panda & Kenzani track that would make the dancefloor erupt with joy, and ‘Snake Charmer’ does that.”
In addition to playing club shows and festivals around the country, Tech Panda x Kenzani are also spreading their wings beyond India with festival appearances in Spain and Germany in September. On September 26, they are scheduled to play at IWA Fest in Melilla, Spain which also features the UK-based Talvin Singh, best known as the father of modern Indian electronica.
They then head to Stuttgart in Germany on September 27 to play the long-running series Discotronic Night alongside Recondite, a German producer whose sound blends introspective melodies, moody rhythms, and atmospheric textures.
The Delhi-based producers have set their sights on a tour of Mexico later this year as they continue releasing music aimed at international dancefloors.
