Marking a decade of design, storytelling, and craftsmanship, Punit Balana celebrated his 10-year milestone with a momentous return to his eternal muse- Jaipur.Punit Balana (estb 2015) is a Jaipur-proud label. “This informs everything we do. Through every weave and print, the reverence for Rajasthani craft legacy shines through. Be it art, architecture, music or our textile heritage, the label is endlessly inspired by the best of Jaipur, bridging the gap between generational crafts and modern-day innovation”, says the designer speaking on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the label.

For Punit, design always begins with craft. His love for age-old techniques gives each collection its depth and character. Among his favourites are coin embroidery, which adds a playful shimmer, chandi till ka kaam, prized for its fine metallic detailing, and gota patti, a festive craft that lends lightness and charm. By reinterpreting these traditional skills in modern silhouettes, he creates pieces that feel rooted yet contemporary — a signature that runs through all his work.

The celebration of Ten Years of Punit Balana on Friday 22nd August unfolded with two key unveilings: the launch of Punit Balana India flagship store at Barwara House and the unveiling of Amer, the Punit Balana Festive 2025 collection, at a show hosted at the iconic Rambagh Palace. ” This city has been at the heart of my design journey since the very beginning, shaping my aesthetic and inspiring my work in countless ways. With our new festive collection Amer, created for this milestone year, I’ve revisited our most loved silhouettes, colours, and techniques, reinterpreting them for today to reflect both where we began and our vision for the modern woman. Our flagship store at Barwara House is a space that embodies the spirit of Jaipur and the craftsmanship that defines us.” says Punit Balana.

The showcase was also a moment of homecoming for Punit Balana’s muses, who have been part of his journey over the years and graced the front row. Bhumi Pednekar, Diana Penty, Punit’s very first muse, marking a full-circle moment, along with Gurfateh Pirzada and Sunny Kaushal, adding their presence to the celebration, wearing pieces from Amer, underscoring the bond between the brand and the personalities who have championed it from the very beginning.

Festive 2025 Collection “Amer” by Punit Balana

The Festive 2025 collection, Amer, marks a milestone year for Punit Balana and draws deeply from Jaipur’s architectural jewel – the Amer Fort. Rooted in its intricate craftsmanship and timeless grandeur, the collection was unveiled against the majestic backdrop of the Rambagh Palace, a setting that amplified its regal silhouettes, artisanal motifs, and signature embellishments.

A highlight of the line is a segment inspired by the Sheesh Mahal, brought to life through the brand’s hallmark Chaandi Tille Ka Kaam, a contemporary interpretation of Rajasthan’s famed Tikri mirror work. Rich textures and refined surface techniques add depth to each ensemble, infusing them with movement, brilliance, and soul. At the heart of the showcase was showstopper Ananya Panday, who embodied the spirit of the collection in a real silk Gulabi Gulal lehenga, exquisitely embroidered with Chaandi Tille Ka Kaam. Inspired by the reflective beauty of Tikri glass inlay, the craft was reimagined in delicate silver-sheet embroidery, making the ensemble celebratory and feather-light. She paired this beautiful lehenga with Jewellery from Sri Krishna Diamonds and Jewellery. Her look captured the essence of Amer: a seamless balance of tradition and modernity, deeply rooted in craft, yet designed for today – that defines Punit Balana’s vision.

Amer also brings back some of Punit Balana’s most loved colours: Surkh Laal and Gulaabi Gulaal from Utsav (2023), Dry Heena and Mustard from Rabari (2019), reintroduced with fresh expression. Joining them is Raakh, a soft grey that anchors the collection with timeless, understated elegance. Each hue is used to evoke nostalgia while offering versatility for the festive season.

Silhouettes span the spectrum of traditional and contemporary from the world of Punit Balana: kedia sets, cropped blouses, short ghaghris, flared lehengas, and layered skirts. The collection also features modern interpretations like sleek fitted skirts, off-shoulder blouses, pre-draped styles, and playful, mix-and-match separates. Designed for the festive and wedding season, Amer brings lightness, wearability, and celebration to every look, perfect for the shaadi entourage and intimate ceremonies.

The collection is a true celebration of Punit Balana’s decade-long journey in fashion, bringing together archival inspirations and forward-looking design sensibilities. With its mix of reimagined crafts, revived colours, and contemporary silhouettes, Amer reflects the designer’s commitment to creating occasion wear that feels rooted yet relevant. It not only honours Rajasthan’s heritage but also speaks to a new generation of women who seek clothing that is expressive, functional, and timeless.
