1. In shooting, Sift Kaur Samra creates history by becoming first Indian to win an individual Gold in Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions at Asian Championships in Kazakhstan.
2. Hockey India has announced that entry to all matches of the Men’s Asia Cup 2025, to be held in Rajgir, Bihar, will be free of cost. The tournament is scheduled from 29th of August to 7th of September at the newly built Rajgir Hockey Stadium.
3. Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Nikhil Khadse inaugurated the ‘Giving Wings to Dreams Conclave 2025’ in New Delhi. Addressing the conclave, Ms. Khadse said that Golden years lost by athletes are lost if they are not exposed to Sports Science in the early years. She also called for the sports sector to adopt Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models and urged private players to invest in sports.
