1. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar holds meeting with his South Korean counterpart, Cho Hyun to deepen bilateral cooperation.

2. Chinese Foreign Minister and Member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Wang Yi will be on a two day visit to India from Monday. He is visiting India at the invitation of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. During the visit, the Chinese Foreign Minister will hold the 24th round of the Special Representatives’ Talks on the India-China boundary question with India’s Special Representative Mr Doval.

3. India welcomes summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska; Says their leadership in pursuit of peace, highly commendable.

4. Modi has thanked Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for their wishes on India’s 79th Independence Day.

5. Singapore and India have recently intensified their efforts to develop a joint semiconductor ecosystem aimed at creating resilient supply chains and advancing technological capabilities in this critical sector. 8. the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) satellite successfully deployed its giant radar antenna reflector in orbit on 15 August 2025.This reflector is an essential piece of the satellite’s science hardware and measures an impressive 39 feet (12 meters) in diameter.

1. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he is planning to meet the US President Donald Trump in Washington on Monday.

2. At least 321 people have been killed in flash floods caused by heavy monsoon rains across northern Pakistan in the past 72 hours. Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority said that 307 deaths were recorded in the mountainous Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

3. A strong heatwave continues to hit much of Japan, with high temperatures recorded from the southwest to the northeast. Several cities reported temperatures above 35°C. Karatsu City in Saga Prefecture reached 35.2°C.

4. A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck near the east coast of Australia yesterday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
