According to the statement, “unknown elements broke open the locks of the university’s gates, which resulted in violence between them and security guards.

3. A 22-year-old student was allegedly stabbed to death by an unknown person inside Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM party’s corporator’s office in Hyderabad. According to reports, the deceased student has been identified as Syed Murtuza Anas, who was the nephew of division 36 corporator Mohammed Ali Sharif (Azam).

2. Actors Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and Prithviraj Sukumaran will reportedly begin shooting for ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ on January 17 at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai.

1. 1971 India-Pak war hero, Bhairon Singh Rathore passes away at 81. Rathore was deployed at the Longewala post in the Thar desert of Jaisalmer, commanding a small BSF unit of six to seven personnel that was accompanied by a 120 men company of the Army’s 23 Punjab regiment. It was the bravery of these men that decimated an assaulting Pakistani brigade and tank regiment at this location on December 5, 1971. He received the Sena Medal in 1972 for his gallant action. Posted with the 14th BSF battalion during the war, Bhairon Singh Rathore retired from service as a Naik in 1987.

PM Modi on Monday condoled the death of BSF’s veteran Border Security Force (BSF) veteran and hero of the India-Pakistan 1971 war, Naik Bhairon Singh Rathore (Retd). Bhairon Singh ji took his last breath at AIIMS, Jodhpur.
