1. India’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Suhel Khan, who is also accredited to Yemen, met with Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council (PLC). Accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission Shri Abu Mathen and First Secretary Shri Rishi Tripathi, Ambassador Khan discussed bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest, emphasising India’s ongoing engagement with Yemen despite the country’s persistent challenges.

2. PM Modi had a detailed telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during which they discussed the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, bilateral relations, and peace efforts.PM Modi reaffirmed India’s steadfast and consistent position supporting a peaceful settlement of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the earliest possible restoration of peace.

3. The Australian Army Chief, Lieutenant General Simon Stuart, arrived in New Delhi on August 11, 2025, for a four-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral defence cooperation and enhancing strategic engagement between India and Australia.

4. India and Bangladesh are expected to hold their bi-annual border talks in Bangladesh this month-end.
