Pillar of Shame

Shame

“The safety of the people shall be the highest law.”
— Marcus Tullius

I am just one man.
I know, my worth,
my insignificant
existence.

Yet, I am willing to fight.
Not because I am unaware
of the brutal and sadist
plans and weapons of
the Government. But
because I am
aware of it.

I am willing to fight
because I don’t want
my or anyone’s children
to grow on soils where

fear is the water that
they will drink,
abuse is the food that
they are going to eat,
and slavery is the work
they are going to do.

I keep my life on hand
and walk straight into the killer’s den.

You ask me,
Where does strength come from?

It’s consciousness my friend and
above all, love for mankind.

Kingship is not always kinship.
And their fall is determined
even before their rise.
