CRIME REPORT

1. The Family of Bidyasing Lekhte, the forest guard killed in the violence at the Assam-Meghalaya border, will receive Rs 14 lakh ex-gratia and salary till his retirement age, besides a government job for his wife.

2. The government has mandated the Competition Commission of India (CCI), among 14 other entities, to share information with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The Centre amended a 2006 notification and also added the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

3. Forensic Science Laboratory in Rohini on Sunday said the remaining sessions of polygraph test on Aaftab Amin Poonawala, accused of brutally killing his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar, will be conducted on Monday.

DEFENCE

1. The bilateral training exercise “AUSTRA HIND 22” between contingents of the Indian Army and the Australian Army is scheduled to take place at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges (Rajasthan) from 28 Nov to 11th December 2022.

The Australian Army contingent comprising soldiers from the 13th Brigade of the 2nd Division has arrived at the exercise location. The Indian Army is represented by troops from the DOGRA unit.

2. National Cadet Corps (NCC) is celebrating 74th anniversary of its Raising Day. This largest uniformed youth organisation in the world was raised in 1948.

3. Indian Navy and Royal Navy of Oman participated in the 13th Edition of bilateral exercise ‘Naseem Al Bahr’ or Sea Breeze.
