1. PM Modi addresses Indian community event in Bali, Indonesia. PM said, country’s self-sufficiency in medicines and vaccines during the Covid pandemic benefited the world.

2. PM Modi meets various G20 leaders; attends G20 dinner hosted by Indonesian President Joko Widodo in Bali.

3. India and Sweden hosted the LeadIT Summit, on the sidelines of COP27 at Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. The Leadership for Industry Transition- LeadIT initiative focuses on low carbon transition of the hard to abate industrial sector.

4. Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav said India has embarked on far-reaching new initiatives in renewable energy, e-mobility, ethanol blended fuels, and green hydrogen as an alternate energy source.

Delivering India’s National Statement at COP 27 in Egypt, the Minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced India’s aim of achieving net zero emissions by 2070 at Glasgow Summit last year.

5. Virologist Gagandeep Kang will take up the role of director of global health at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She is a professor at Vellore’s Christian Medical College and is also part of National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI).

6. Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus thanked PM Modi on Tuesday for collaborating with the world health body to build a global traditional health centre. The foundation stone for the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine was laid in Gujarat’s Jamnagar in April this year.

7. The G20 Presidency of Indonesia is hosting the official launch of the Pandemic Fund on the margins of the G20 Joint Finance and Health Ministers’ Meeting in Bali, Indonesia in the presence of Joko Widodo, President of 🇮🇩.

1. In Israel, new Parliament or 25th Knesset will be sworn in today as former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu advances talks with allies on forming a coalition consisting of right-wing partners.

Out of 120 lawmakers of the 25th Knesset elected on 1st of November, 64 have endorsed Mr. Netanyahu to lead the next government, clearing the way for his promised comeback after just 14 months in opposition

2. Global Shield Against Climate Risks initiative was launched on November 14, 2022 by the Vulnerable Twenty (V20) countries and G7 countries.

3. Russian missiles cross into NATO member Poland, 2 killed.

4. World Health Organization (WHO) in its recently published report highlighted 19 fungi that represent the greatest threat to public health.

Reasons for Rise are:
⦁ Due to global warming and the increase of international travel and trade, the incidence and geographic range of fungal diseases are expanding worldwide.

5. Poland calls emergency meeting after 2 killed near Ukrainian border. Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki said.

6. Pakistan, Ghana and Bangladesh will be among the first recipients of funding from a G7 ‘Global Shield’ initiative to provide funding to countries suffering climate disasters, the programme announced at the COP27 summit in Egypt.

7. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has agreed in principle to admit East Timor as the group’s 11th member.
