magnitude 54 earthquake jolts nepal tremors felt in delhi

1. India and Cambodia signed four MoUs in the areas of culture, wildlife and health. Bilateral talks took place between Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on the sidelines of the ongoing ASEAN Summit at Phnom Penh.

The year 2022 has been declared as the ASEAN-India Friendship year, as ASEAN and India commemorate 30 years of partnership.

2. External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar met his Canadian counterpart, Melan Joly, on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit at Phnom Penh in Cambodia. Both Ministers discussed the Ukraine conflict, Indo-Pacific, bilateral cooperation, and community welfare.

3. The Ministry of Ayush is going to showcase its initiatives and various achievements at the 41st India International Trade Fair through its pavilion in New Delhi from the 14th to the 27th of this month.

4. Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said, the Union Government is making all-out efforts to ensure the release of the 16 Indian crew members of the Norwegian vessel MT Heroic Idun, detained by the authorities of Equatorial Guinea last August. The vessel has been subsequently handed over to the Nigerian authorities and is on its way to Nigeria.

1. An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale was reported in Nepal on 12 Nov Saturday evening @ 7.57 pm. Earthquake tremors were felt across Delhi and other parts of North India.

The epicentre of the quake was recorded in Nepal, 212 km southeast of Joshimath in Uttarakhand.

2. In Egypt, 19 people were killed and six others were injured when a bus fell into a canal in the northern part of the country. The bus was carrying some 35 people.

3. Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen has expressed a genuine threat of a Chinese invasion amid repeated indications by Beijing in that direction.
