1. Asian Boxing Championships in Amman Jordan: Indian women pugilists bag 4 gold medals, 1 silver
Praveen Hooda, Lovlina Bogohain and Saweety Boora, Alfiya Khan claimed gold medals. Whereas Minakshi on the other hand, concluded her maiden Asian Championships campaign by clinching a silver medal.
2. Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20:
Domestic giants Mumbai produced a near-perfect performance to beat Himachal Pradesh by three wickets in the final and won their maiden Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy title at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The 15th edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, a Twenty20(T20) competition that is played in India, was held from 11th October 2022 to 5th November 2022.
3. 19-year-old Danish player, Holger Rune has defeated the six-time champion, Novak Djokovic to clinch his first Men’s single, 2022 Masters Title in Paris. He has become the youngest winner of the Paris tournament since Boris Becker in 1986. He is the fifth first-time Masters winner this season and will be the first Danish man to break into the top 10
4. India to host Women’s World Boxing Championships in 2023. An MoU was signed between the International Boxing Association (IBA) and the Boxing Federation of India (BFI)
