Centre amended Aadhaar regulations

1. The Ministry of Home Affairs has successfully completed a mother tongue survey with field videography of 576 languages and dialects across the country.

2. Centre amended Aadhaar regulations, advising card holders to update documents supporting their information at least once every 10 years from the date of enrolment to ensure the accuracy of the data.

3. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari announced new projects of 1.6 lakh crores rupees in North-East.

4. Supreme Court on Friday asked the Centre to provide details of those medical students of Ukraine who availed its academic mobility programme under which they could complete their courses in universities or colleges of other countries.

5. GUJARAT , first randomization of EVM-VVPAT has been completed and the second randomization will be conducted after finalizing the list of candidates in the coming Assembly Election.

6. Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh will be held today as per the schedule announced by the Election Commission. A total of 412 candidates, including 24 women candidates, are in the fray for 68 seats.

7. J&K : The UMEED Scheme of Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM) is providing help to the aspirations of rural women in the Union Territory, who aspire to become economically independent.

8. KARNATAKA : PM Modi inaugurates several development projects in Karnataka, flagging off South India’s first Vande Bharat Express train, inaugurating the swanky second Terminal of Bengaluru International Airport and unveiling 108 feet tall bronze statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda in Bengaluru.

10. TELANGANA : National Commission for Protection of Child Rights which is mandated to spread child rights literacy held a one day Orientation cum Sensitization programme on ‘Child Rights: Contemporary Challenges in Telangana’ in Hyderabad, which was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Governor of Telangana and Lt. Governor of Puducherry, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan.

11. The National Education Day is observed annually on November 11 in India. In India, National Education Day is celebrated every year on November 11 as it marks the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, who was India’s first education minister after independence. He was awarded Bharat Ratna posthumously, India’s highest civilian honour in 1992.

12. Report of Expert Committee on SVAMITVA Scheme was released at the National Conference on SVAMITVA Scheme and Rural Planning, which was organized on November 3, 2022 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

13. Addressing a programme at a private university in Greater Noida, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh claimed Friday that Subhas Chandra Bose was the first prime minister of undivided India. He said Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose had formed this government and taken oath as prime minister on October 21, 1943.”

CRIME REPORT

1. Supreme Court on Friday discharged the Uttarakhand government and the police chief from a list of parties in a contempt plea filed by activist Tushar Gandhi pertaining to alleged inaction in cases of hate speeches made at religious assemblies in Haridwar in the state and the national capital last year.

2. On a day the Supreme Court directed the premature release of six convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal urged the Centre to release all Sikh prisoners who have completed their terms.

3. Three suspected shooters were nabbed in Punjab’s Patiala district early on Friday in connection with the killing of a Dera Sacha Sauda follower. The special cell of the Delhi police raided the Bakshiwala area, about 30 km from Patiala city, around 3 am following intelligence inputs.

1. Reliance Jio to extend its Jio True 5G services to Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Reliance has already successfully Beta-launched Jio True-5G in major cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Varanasi, and Nathdwara.

2. Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog has launched Woman centric challenges under phase-II of the 2nd edition of the Atal New India Challenge (ANIC). ANIC is an initiative by AIM, NITI Aayog targeted to seek, select, support and nurture technology-based innovations that solve sectoral challenges of national importance and societal relevance, through a grant-based mechanism of up to INR 1 crore.

2. Recently BHIM App open-source license model was announced by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).

Currently, many banks do not have their own mobile banking applications. Therefore, they are unable to provide the benefits of UPI to their customer base. The NPCI aims to address this gap by providing readily available features of UPI to these banks via the BHIM App licensing model. It will act as an economic and quick-to-market solution for these entities.

DEFENCE

1. Indian Army has issued a tender for 47,627 bulletproof jackets (BPJs) for its frontline troops which should be able to protect them from the lethal steel core bullets.The Ministry of Defence issued the tender for the jackets under Make in India and the procurement would be done in phases over a 12 to 24-month period

2. IAF AIRCREW PRACTISES AERIAL REFUELLING DURING GARUDA VII EXERCISE: On the sidelines of the ongoing exercise ‘Garuda-VII’, with the French Air and Space Force (FASF), the Indian Air Force (IAF) aircrew practised the most key aspect of modern warfare, that is, aerial refuelling. The aerial refuelling was done from a 330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT).

3. Indian Army launched a single window facility “Veerangana Sewa Kendra” (VSK) for the welfare and grievances redressal of army wives.

The “Veerangana Sewa Kendra” project was inaugurated by the President Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) at the premises of the Directorate of Indian Army Veterans (DIAV) premises located at Delhi Cantt.

According to the Defence Ministry, the registration of welfare-related grievances can be done on the portal by Veer Naris through the respective Record Offices, Col Veterans, and DIAV.

4. Flight Termination System (FTS) packages to AgnikulAgnikul Cosmos, a space technology start-up based in Chennai, received its first flight termination system (FTS) on 7 November 2022, from ISRO, with the support of IN-SPACe.

5. The Army will use the Wargame Research and Development Centre to train its troops and evaluate their tactics through metaverse-enabled gameplay. The focus is to teach military strategy to its officers through the interface. The metaverse, which combines virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) to mimic its surroundings, will put soldiers’ skills to the test.

6. India’s first privately developed rocket — Vikram-S — is set for a November 15 launch on a sub-orbital mission with three payloads, Hyderabad-based space startup Skyroot Aerospace announced.
