1. Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya outlined India’s strategy towards finishing among the top 10 nations in the 2036 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. Speaking at the Khelo Bharat Conclave in Delhi, the Minister said sports is a public movement and goals can be achieved only if everyone works together.

2. Deepika Sehrawat became the first-ever Indian player to win the Poligras Magic Skill Award for her extraordinary solo goal against the Netherlands during the 2024–25 FIH Hockey Pro League.

3. Lakshmi Jadala, Asia’s top-ranked para lawn tennis player with an intellectual disability, clinched the gold medal at the National Tennis Championship 2025 (Disability Sports) held in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. With this triumphant win, 15-year-old Jadala has officially qualified for the Special Olympics World Games 2027, set to take place in Cairo, Egypt.

4. Veteran West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell has announced his retirement from international cricket, concluding a distinguished T20 career. His final matches will be the T20Is against Australia on July 20 and 22, 2025, at Sabina Park, Jamaica.

5. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has named Aiden Markram from South Africa and Hayley Matthews from the West Indies as the Men’s and Women’s Players of the Month for June 2025.
