1. The Indian Embassy in Iran has urged Indian nationals to avoid non-essential travel to Iran. The travel advisory has been issued amid rising security concerns in the region over the past several weeks.

2. A 24-member delegation of young leaders from 14 political parties of Sri Lanka today called on Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri in New Delhi. During the meeting, the Foreign Secretary emphasised their valuable role in deepening the India – SriLanka partnership as stakeholders in its future roadmap.

3. US President Donald Trump has said, India is working on a trade deal similar to the one recently signed between the US and Indonesia. That deal allows US goods to enter Indonesia tariff-free, while Indonesian exports to the US face a 19 per cent tariff.

4. National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) International will launch the expanded UPI-PayNow linkage, enhancing cross-border remittance services between India and Singapore. With the addition of 13 new Indian banks, the service will now include 19 participating banks, offering greater convenience and reach for users. This move is part of a broader initiative supported by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to promote secure, real-time, and cost-effective international payments.

5. The World Health Organization (WHO) has updated its HIV prevention guidelines in 2025. It now recommends lenacapavir, a new long-acting antiretroviral, for people at high risk and areas with high HIV infection rates. This announcement was made at the 13th International AIDS Society Conference in Kigali, Rwanda.

1. The Israeli Defence Forces, IDF, struck the Syrian regime’s military headquarters in Damascus, citing threats to Druze civilians. Over the past 24 hours, Israeli aircraft also targeted tanks, rocket launchers, and armed vehicles heading toward Sweida in southern Syria.

2. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed deep concerns over the continued violence in the Druze-majority area in Suweida governorate in Syria.

3. Global terror financing watchdog, Financial Action Task Force (FATF), has warned of emerging terror financing risks in digital era and highlighted Pakistan’s role in it. The FATF underlined the potential threats where money can be misused in a rapidly digitalising world, adding that money can be misused to support terrorism, hide illegal earnings, or fund activities that can harm global peace.

4. France has backed off from a U.S.-led plan for European nations to buy American weapons for Ukraine.

5. Baloch Human Rights reveals 33 extrajudicial killings & 84 forced disappearance cases.

6. US President Donald Trump announced a new trade agreement with Indonesia, lowering proposed tariffs on Indonesian goods to 19 percent in exchange for full access for American firms. Indonesia, in turn, will buy 15 billion dollars in US energy, 4.5 billion dollars in agricultural goods, and 50 Boeing jets.
