2. The first-ever Khelo India Water Sports Festival will be held at Srinagar’s iconic Dal Lake from the 21st of August. This was announced by the Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya.

The tournament will run until July 14 and introduces a new division-based format.

5. India secured two medals at the World Boxing Cup, Astana 2025, as Minakshi (48kg) and Pooja Rani (80kg) advanced to the semifinals on Day 3 of the competition.
6. Recently Olympic gold medallist Kirsty Coventry made history by becoming the first female and first African president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), marking a new era of diversity, youth, and vision in global sports leadership.
