1. India created history as the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, carrying the Axiom-4 crew, including Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla becomes 1st Indian to set foot on the International Space Station (ISS) at 4 pm yesterday.

2. India strongly condemned the demolition of the Durga temple in Dhaka, criticising the role of the Muhammad Yunus-led interim government in allowing the destruction and projecting it as a case of illegal land use.

3. India declined to sign a Shanghai Cooperation Organization statement because it omitted mention of the Pahalgam terror attack while referencing Baluchistan : Defence minister Rajnath Singh, who attended the meeting at Qingdao in China, refused to sign the joint communique as it was silent on the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed but mentioned Balochistan and the hijacking of the Jaffer Express by Baloch militants in March.

4. India and South Africa signed two agreements in the domain of submarine cooperation during the 9th Joint Defence Committee (JDC) meeting held in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Monday and Tuesday. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh led the Indian delegation to the meeting.

5. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Dubai Chapter marked International Yoga Day with a celebration focused on holistic well-being, mindful living, and the transformative power of yoga.

6. Nine fishermen in two boats from Nagapattinam were brutally attacked by Sri Lankan pirates yesterday when they were fishing near Seruthur at the Bay of Bengal.

1. The Nepal government has proposed a total budget of NPR 1.96411 trillion for the fiscal year 2025-26. This budget aims to support economic recovery and development. The National Assembly of Nepal passed the Appropriation Bill 2082.

2. Pakistan issues 1-month NOTAM: Pakistan has declared a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) restricting certain air routes in its central sector from June 23 to July 25, raising speculation about possible activities.

3. Spain has refused to hold separate talks with the United States on trade issues. Spanish Economy Minister Carlos Cuerpo said, trade relations are conducted through US negotiations with the European Commission, which Spain is part of.

4. Bangladesh will observe August 8 as ‘New Bangladesh Day’ to mark the anniversary of swearing-in of the interim government led by Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus who took over three days after the fall of Sheikh Hasina government on August 5 last year, following a student-led uprising.

5. Six people died due to severe flooding in Southwest China’s Guizhou province amid continuous heavy rainfall. The heavy rainfall and upstream inflows have triggered severe flooding in Rongjiang and Congjiang counties of Guizhou. As per reports, over 80 thousand people have been evacuated from the flood hit areas in the country.

6. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has held a meeting with US President Donald Trump and discussed steps toward a ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the NATO summit in The Hague, Netherlands.

7. In Mexico, at least 12 people were killed and nearly 20 others wounded in a brutal overnight attack by gunmen in the city of Irapuato, located in the state of Guanajuato. The Gunmen opened fire during a festive street celebration honouring St. John the Baptist.

8. In Bangladesh, the International Crimes Tribunal on Wednesday removed lawyer Aminul Gani Titu from his role as the state-appointed defence counsel for former prime minister Sheikh Hasina in a contempt of court case, citing a conflict of interest and concerns over judicial ethics.
