1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the 47th Annual General Meeting of the Prime Ministers Museum and Library Society in New Delhi.

2. Election Commission declares results for bypolls to five assembly constituencies across four states; AAP bags two seats, while BJP, Congress, and TMC win one each.

In Gujarat, BJP’s Rajendra Kumar Daneshwar Chavda won the assembly bypoll in Kadi constituency. AAP’s Gopal Italia registered victory in Visavadar constituency. 3. The Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, convened a high-level meeting co-chaired by Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, Department of Financial Services and Shri T. Rabi Sankar, Deputy Governor, RBI at New Delhi, on scaling up Unified Lending Interface (ULI). The ULI is a technology-based initiative to make frictionless credit available to every Indian and to further the Government’s broader vision of digital empowerment, financial inclusion, and last-mile service delivery.

4. The Andhra Pradesh Government is set to commission a technical investigation to assess the structural stability of the 125-year-old Havelock bridge across river Godavari that connects Rajamahendravaram City with Kovvur town in the Godavari region.

5. Arunachal Pradesh, 21-year-old Longku Komal of Kamle district was crowned Miss Universe Arunachal Pradesh-2025 to the thunderous applause of the gathering at a glittering ceremony at Kalawangpo Hall.

6. The government has decided to extend the cut-off date for exercising the option for Unified Pension Scheme by three months till 30th September of this year. This cut-off date will apply for the eligible central government employees, retirees, and the legally wedded spouses of deceased retirees.

7. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla today said that the Estimates Committee of the Parliament has consistently contributed to budgetary reforms aimed at improving transparency and aligning expenditures with national development goals.

8. Tripura becomes 3rd fully literate state. The proclamation was made by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha during a programme in Agartala.

9. Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has directed officials to focus on increasing non-tax revenue and rationalising departmental expenditure to ensure realistic and need-based spending across the State.

10. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said, the conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest monsoon over several parts of Northwest India during next two days. These include the remaining parts of North Arabian Sea, some more parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, some parts of Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.

1. Tamil film actor Srikant has been arrested in Chennai in connection with a drug case. The investigation began after a former AIADMK functionary, Prasad was arrested for drug trafficking. Prasad had allegedly confessed to the Anti Narcotics Intelligence Unit of the Chennai City Police that he supplied drugs including cocaine to Srikanth.

2. The Punjab government has directed all District Social Security, Women, and Child Development Officers to keep a strict watch on the circulation of vulgar and obscene content on social media platforms. Instructions have been issued that any complaint or information received regarding such content must be immediately shared with the police and the Child Rights Commission for legal action.

1. India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), a government-owned digital banking entity under the Ministry of Communications, has been awarded the prestigious Digital Payments Award 2024–25 by the Ministry of Finance’s Department of Financial Services.

2. Bharti Space Ltd, the satellite venture of Bharti Enterprises, has pledged to invest ₹313 crore (about €31.4 million) in French satellite giant Eutelsat. This commitment is part of a broader €1.35 billion funding plan by Eutelsat aimed at enhancing its space capabilities and reducing debt.

3. The NPCI is all set to introduce NACH 3.0 in July 2025, an updated version of India’s recurring transaction system that powers salary credits, EMIs, SIPs, and more. The enhanced system will bring faster processing, robust security through encryption, and better tracking features.

1. After multiple delays, Pawan Kalyan’s movie Hari Hara Veera Mallu has locked its latest release date. The pan-Indian movie, originally shot in Telugu, is directed by Jyothi Krishna and Krish Jagarlamudi. The historical film is now set to hit the screens worldwide on 24 July 2025.

2. Censors block Union minister’s film after objections to ‘Janaki’ in title: CBFC blocked the release of Malayalam film ‘Janaki V/S State of Kerala’, reportedly due to objections over the title character ‘Janaki’, another name of Goddess Sita. Starring Union minister Suresh Gopi and Anupama Parameswaran, the film was scheduled for release on June 27 but was denied screening clearance at the last minute.

1. Indian Army’s Western Command has signed MoUs with IIT Ropar and IIT Kanpur. This will establish a structured framework for continued engagement in defence R&D and field-ready innovation.

2. In Ladakh, as part of the Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebrations, the Captain Anuj Nayyar All Ladakh Football Championship concluded yesterday at the Astro Turf Stadium, Kurbathang, Kargil. The tournament was organized by Indian Army in collaboration with Kargil Football Association and is dedicated to the supreme sacrifice of Captain Anuj Nayyar during the Kargil War of 1999. A total of 24 football teams from various parts of Ladakh participated in the tournament.

3. India’s naval capabilities are set to receive boost with the commissioning of INS Tamal on July 1, 2025, in Kaliningrad, Russia. This frigate is the last of the Krivak class to be built outside India, marking a very important moment in the Indian Navy’s transition towards self-reliance under the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative.
