1. India has expanded its evacuation efforts under Operation Sindhu to include stranded citizens of Nepal and Sri Lanka in Iran as a significant gesture of regional solidarity.

1. Sri Lanka is confident of receiving the next tranche of the IMF’s Extended Fund Facility.

2. Israel and Iran continue to exchange intense air strikes on the ninth day of the conflict. The Israeli military said it targeted missile depots and infrastructure in central Iran, killing senior Iranian commanders Saeed Izadi and Behnam Shahriyari in Qom and other locations.

3. In Brazil, at least eight people have died following an accident involving a hot air balloon in the southern region of Santa Catarina today. Governor Jorginho Mello said rescue teams were searching for other people, as preliminary information indicated there were 22 people on board. Local media reported that a hot air balloon caught fire while in the sky before deflating and falling to the ground.

4. More than 20 people have died following a collapse at a coltan mine in the central African country Democratic Republic of Congo. Authorities said that at least 19 bodies were recovered yesterday from the mine, located in the Masisi territory of North Kivu Province.

5. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a series of coordinated attacks targeting Pakistani military forces in the Hoshab and Kolwah regions of Balochistan, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing insurgency.
