Purnima

Purnima

“Unless the ultimate happens to me, I will not move. Either I will get up as an Enlightened Being
or I will die in this posture.”

-Gautama Siddhartha

Why is it advised to be in the right state on the full moon?

On the full moons or what we call as Purnima, the magnetic pull of the moon increases because of the position it is in with regard to the earth. Infact, the vibration and the feel of the full moon is also different as compared to the moon in its other days.

Due to the natural upward pull of energy, the area and people exposed to the light of the full moon act differently. Like the tides rise more on full moons. Similarly, the fundamental energy in our body called ‘Prana’ or ‘Chi’ flows upwards. The blood circulation in our brain increases.

But most importantly, the state we are in gets intensified especially on the full moons. Like a crazy person will act crazier. Happy person will act joyfully. Sad person will act despondent. Lind person will act compassionate. Spiritual people will become more meditative.

It is like the dominant feature or state in us gets the push from the Universe to become what we are wishing or thinking about.

So, after understanding the psychology of the effects of a full moon on us, we can now use it to enhance our capabilities, sensibilities and attain our goals and targets.

For example, a student who is devoted to his study must utilize this time in serious studies making sure his/ her spine is straight. Or a spiritual person must sit, breathe, chant and meditate during this time.

It is like knowing what your heart and soul desires and then acting on it during this time instead of New Year Morning. For, sets the course for the entire month and helps us create momentum to create our dreams true at a faster rate.

Astrology, Spirituality, Religion, Geography, etc all at the end of the day teaches us that it is important to know about specific dates, days, moments, and times. So that we can analyze, reflect, sense the flow of energy and use it consciously to direct in a specific way rather than being driven by it all our lives unaware.
