1. Nation pays homage to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversary on 02 Oct.

President Droupadi Murmu led the nation in paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat on the 153rd birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, fondly known as the Father of the Nation.

2. President Droupadi Murmu conferred the awards for Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2022 on 02 Oct and Jal Jeevan Mission Functionality Assessment at a function in New Delhi.

(a) In the big states category the first award for Swachh Survekshan Grameen was given to Telangana, second to Haryana and the third award was bagged by Tamil Nadu.

(b) In small states and UTs category, Andaman and Nicobar won the first award, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu second and Sikkim got the third award.

3. Indian railways has recorded best ever monthly freight loading of over 115 million tonnes in September this year. The incremental loading in September.

ANDHRA PRADESH : Three cities — Greater Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati — were ranked in the top 10 in the category of towns with more than one lakh population in the Swachh Survekshan 2022 rankings which were announced by President Droupadi Murmu at the Swachh Amrit Mahotsav in New Delhi on Saturday.

1. BIG BOOST ‘: IAF to induct made-in-India Light Combat Helicopter today 03 Oct. The combat helicopter, developed by state-run aerospace major Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), has been primarily designed for deployment in high-altitude regions.

Barrel-Launched Loitering Munition system can carry a payload of 1.5 kilograms at a service ceiling of 4,000 meters and has a strike radius of 30 kilometers to target enemy hideouts, Vehicles Fuel and ammunition dumps.
