2. Cricket🏏: T20 Asia Cup
(a) India defeated Sri Lanka by 41 runs in their opening match of Women’s T20 Asia Cup at Sylhet in Bangladesh. Chasing a target of 151 runs, Sri Lanka were bundled out for 109 runs in 18.2 overs.
(b) Bangladesh defeat Thailand by 9 wickets in tournament opener;
(c) Bangladesh is hosting women’s international match after four years.
A total of seven teams – India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates – are competing for the title. The teams will play each other in a round-robin format, where each will play six games. The top four teams will reach the semifinals.
