India is to set up a multistate export house to export local products

1. Govt setting up multi-State export house for promotion & export of agriculture products globally with Amul Brand, says Union Minister Amit Shah.

2. Rural Development Ministry has developed JALDOOT App to capture the water level of selected wells in a village across the country. The App will be launched in New Delhi on 27 Sep.

3. Govt has decided to include the facility to apply for Police Clearance Certificates (PCC) services at all online Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSK) across the country, starting from 28 Sep wednesday.

4. IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the government is investing nearly $30 billion to ensure last-mile network accessibility for 4G and 5G in every village across the country.

5. MoEFCC (Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change) to launch ‘Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan’ programme under NCAP (National Clean Air Programme 2019) to rank cities based on their actions to improve air quality.

1. Rajiv assassination case : The Supreme Court on Monday sought responses from the Centre and the Tamil Nadu government on a plea filed by Nalini Sriharan, serving life sentence in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, seeking premature release.

Nalini has challenged the June 17 order of the Madras High Court, which rejected her plea for early release, and cited the apex court judgement ordering the release of co-convict A G Perarivalan.

2. Maharashtra Government on Sunday decided to invoke Sedition charges (section 124 (A) of IPC) against those persons who have raised “Pakistan Zindabad” slogans during a protest organised by the Popular Front of India (PFI) in Pune.

1. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will review performance of Credit and other Welfare Schemes for Scheduled Castes in Public Sector Banks in New Delhi.

3. The Indian Government has inked a Rs.1,700 crore contract with BrahMos Aerospace Pvt Ltd for procuring BrahMos missiles.

The contract was signed by the Defence Ministry to purchase 35 combat and 3 practice BrahMos supersonic dual-role surface-to-surface cruise missiles. The range of these missiles is 290 km and they are capable of both land attack and anti-ship strikes.

4. Centre withdraws incentives, special allowance to IAS, IPS officers working in north-east regions.
