1. Davis cup Tennis Tournament, India’s doubles team of Yuki Bhambri and Saketh Myneni were thrashed 0-3 by a far-superior Norway team as world No.2 Casper Ruud combined with Viktor Durasovic to win the doubles match and complete the rout in the World Group-I tie of the Davis Cup in Lillehammer on Saturday.
2. Two-time Commonwealth Games champion Bajrang Punia lost in the quarter-final at the Wrestling World Championships in Belgrade on Saturday. Yianni Diakomihalis of the USA beat the Indian wrestler 10-0 via technical superiority in the 65-kg category. If the American wrestler reaches the final, Bajrang will have a chance at the bronze medal through the repechage round.
