1. Swachh Sagar Surakshit Sagar campaign culminates at Juhu Beach in Mumbai. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh on Saturday said that India’s 7500 km-long coastline will play a vital role in shaping up India’s Vision @ 2047.

2. The Election Commission of India has released a new digital publication ‘BLO e-Patrika’ at an interactive session held with BLOs spread across the states in India. They are the primary source of information for every voter across the length and breadth of the country.

3. PM Modi launched the National Logistics Policy at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. The policy is aimed at promoting a seamless movement of goods in the country quickly like a cheetah.

4. PM Narendra Modi reiterated that schemes like Sagarmala, Bharatmala, expedited the work of Dedicated Freight Corridors to improve logistics connectivity for systematic infrastructure development.

5. Over 87,000 people voluntarily donated blood on PM Narendra Modi’s birthday on Saturday, setting a new world record, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said.

8. GUJARAT : Thousands of Gujarat govt employees, including school teachers, have reportedly joined a ‘mass casual leave’ protest demanding Old Pension Scheme (OPS) implementation. Union body members said nearly 7,000 employees in Bhavnagar and 8,000 in Kutch did not go to work on Saturday. The state had announced on Friday that those who joined before April 2005 would get the OPS benefit.

9. ODISHA: More than 700 active Maoist supporters, including 300 militia members, surrendered before the security forces in Odisha’s Malkangiri on Saturday..

10. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday adopted all TB (tuberculosis) patients from Angul, Deogarh, Dhenkanal and Sambalpur districts of Odisha under the ‘Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan

11. Howrah- Bhubaneswar Jan Shatabdi Express derailed in Bhadrak, Odisha on Saturday, an official said, adding no casualty was reported.

12. TELANGANA CM K Chandrashekar Rao said a govt order (GO) to implement a 10% quota for Scheduled Tribes (STs) in the state would be issued soon.

13. Home Minister Amit Shah said despite demand from the people, the Telangana government would not “dare to celebrate” Hyderabad Liberation Day due to “vote bank politics”. Shah added that the TRS backed out of their election promises “due to fear of Razakars”. He also said Hyderabad would not have been part of India if it wasn’t for Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

14. NEW APPOINTMENT : Prasanna Kumar Motupalli is selected as the Chairman and Managing Director of NLC India Limited by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB).

CRIME REPORT

1. Bandipora police have solved the case of the killing of migrant labourer by arresting three terrorists involved in the case in Sadunara area of Hajin in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

2. The CBI has filed an application in a Delhi court seeking cancellation of bail to Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav in the IRCTC scam. The case relates to the maintenance contract of IRCTC hotels in which the agency had charged 12 people and two companies. Tejashwi and his mother Rabri Devi were granted bail in 2018.

3. AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan was on Saturday sent to four-day police custody in the Delhi Waqf Board corruption case. The order was issued by a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court at Rouse Avenue. Khan was arrested late on Friday by the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) after raids at the residences of the MLA and his aide.

4. At least seven people were killed and several others were injured after a bus carrying around 50 passengers fell off a bridge in Jharkhand’s Hazaribag on Saturday.

5. Delhi Police has become the first police force in India to make a collection of forensic evidence mandatory in crimes punishable by more than six years.

1. CBDT has issued Revised Guidelines for compounding of offences under the Income-tax Act, 1961. CBDT has taken this step in conformity with the Government’s policy of facilitating Ease of Doing Business and decriminalisation of offences.

The temple said it was the biggest amount it has received in a single donation ever. This came a day after Ambani visited Lord Venkateshwara Shrine in Andhra Pradesh and made a similar ₹1.5 crore donation.

2. Actor Sunny Deol has said he’s very confident about his upcoming film ‘Gadar 2’, the sequel to the 2001 film ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’. Film will be completed by December and will release in early 2023.

1. The Army leaders from the 24 nations belonging to the Indo-Pacific region gathered in Dhaka for the Indo-Pacific Armies Management Seminar (IPAMS) have given a message of unity and collective commitment.

The 47th iteration of IPAMS will take place in India, where it will share the stage with the bi-annual Indo-Pacific Army Chiefs Conference.

2. Army team of two Grenadiers scales Mount Harmukh. Mount Harmukh is known to be one of the most challenging & technical peaks in the Kashmir valley.

3. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will embark on a three-day visit to Egypt from Sunday. The visit aims to further consolidate defence cooperation and the special friendship between India and Egypt.
