9. SIKKIM govt raised the minimum wages across all categories on Wednesday. Now unskilled workers will get ₹500 daily, instead of ₹300. The daily wage for semi-skilled workers was increased from ₹320 to ₹520 and skilled workers will earn ₹535 instead of ₹335.

10. National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) chief Priyank Kanoongo said the statutory body will remind other states to carry out surveys of illegal madrassas, as is being done in UP, Assam and Uttarakhand.

1. BIHAR , seven police personnel were suspended for the lapse in duty after two gunmen went on a rampage in the Begusarai district.

One person was killed and 10 people were injured after four unidentified bike-borne assailants opened fire at many places in the district on 13 Sep and fled away after crossing six police stations, but they weren’t caught by police.

2. Patna Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) KK Singh, who allegedly beat up a teaching job aspirant during a protest last month, was removed from the post on Wednesday. He has been transferred to the General Administration Department in Bihar. A video went viral showing him beating up the teaching job aspirant who was holding the national flag.

3. GUJARAT , at least 7 laborers were killed after the lift of an under-construction building collapsed in Ahmedabad on 14 Sep morning.

4. WEST BENGAL : A special court in Kolkata on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of former West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee and sent him to judicial remand till Sept 28 in the School Service Commission (SSC) recruitment scam case.

4. TELANGANA : The police have arrested the owners of the Ruby Pride hotel and Gemopai e-bikes showroom after a fire in a building, in Secunderabad, housing the two killed eight people and injured 10 others.
