The jet black granite statue, measuring a total of 28 feet will be placed under the Canopy near India Gate. The statue is completely hand sculpted using traditional techniques and modern tools.

The statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is being installed in the same place where a hologram statue of Netaji was unveiled in January this year.

9. Union cabinet approves launch of new centrally sponsored scheme of setting up of PM Schools for Rising India. Over 14 thousand schools including Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas will be strengthened to emerge as PM-SHRI Schools.

10. Supreme Court’s Constitution bench has decided to go completely paperless while hearing the Centre and the Delhi government dispute over administrative control. The five-judge bench led by Justice DY Chandrachud also said that the Information Technology cell of the court agreed to train seniors on the use of technology. The court has also allowed the proceedings to be recorded.

11. Congress chief Sonia Gandhi said the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ is a landmark occasion for the party. Stating that the party would be rejuvenated through this rally, she also expressed regret at her inability to join in person owing to medical checkups and added that she would participate in spirit.

The interim application moved by the Uddhav Thackeray group to restrain the Election Commission of India from deciding the claim raised by the Eknath Shinde group for recognition as the official Shiv Sena party.

22. NAGALAND : The central government has extended the ceasefire agreement with National Socialist Council of Nagaland (K) Niki group, a break-away faction of the Nagaland insurgent group NSCN, by another year. The decision was announced by the Union Home Ministry on Wednesday. NSCN (K) Niki is led by Niki Sumi, who is accused of killing 18 Indian soldiers in Manipur in 2015.

23. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat have been ranked as the top three states among larger states in terms of the overall implementation of the Centre’s flagship Poshan Abhiyaan.

2. Enforcement Directorate has conducted raids in connection with Delhi Excise Policy scam. Searches were conducted in Delhi- NCR as well as in Lucknow, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Hyderabad and other cities.

3. National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday announced a cash reward of ₹10 lakh for any information leading to the arrest of fugitive terrorist Harpreet Singh alias ‘Happy Malaysia’, who is accused in the 2021 Ludhiana court complex blast. He’s currently is Malaysia.

4. Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed Alt News Co-founder Mohammed Zubair to approach the Delhi High Court for quashing an FIR against him in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur. The FIR was lodged by the Rashtriya Hindu Sher Sena’s Sitapur district head Bhagwan Sharan. He alleged that a tweet by Zubair hurt his religious sentiments.

1. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has said that the production of food grains in the country is estimated at over three thousand 157 lakh tonnes in 2021-22, which is higher by 50 lakh tonnes as compared to 2020-21.

2. Government has asked Amazon to stop selling devices designed to disable car seat belt alarms, Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said. Gadkari stated metal clips are inserted in seat belt slots to bypass alarm that keeps pinging when belts aren’t in use while a car is being driven. This comes after the recent demise of Cyrus Mistry in a car crash.
