Why teachers day is celebrated?
Because September 5 is also the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna recipient Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was the first Vice President and second President of India post Independence. He was born on September 5, 1888.
First Techers’ Day was celebrated on 5 September 1962. Teachers’ Day is celebrated every year to celebrate the importance of teachers in our lives. It is observed to honour and acknowledge the efforts made by teachers to make our lives better.
