1. Supreme Court agreed to hear a petition seeking a review of its July 27 judgment that upheld the core amendments made to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

2. Supreme Court agreed to hear a petition challenging the remission of the 11 convicts in the 2002 Bilkis Bano gang rape case.

The apex court issued notice to the Gujarat Government and the Centre on a plea challenging remission to the convicts who were released on the 15th of August.

4. TELANGANA : Hyderabad Police have arrested influencer Syed Abdahu Kashaf, who was seen raising ‘sar tan se juda’ slogans against MLA Raja Singh. A viral video showed him saying, “Gustakh-e-rasool ki ek hi saza, sar tan se juda (beheading only punishment for a person who disrespects the Prophet).” He has been booked for allegedly promoting enmity between different groups.

1.
