9. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has received widespread support from political leaders and diplomats after facing a wave of online abuse following his statement on Pakistan’s violations of the recently agreed India-Pakistan ceasefire.
Misri, who has been serving as Foreign Secretary since 2024, addressed the media late Saturday night, stating that Pakistan had violated the ceasefire agreement just hours after it came into effect.

1. The Crime Department (CID) in Telangana has arrested five more accused in a bank fraud4 case, where the accused persons cheated the IDBI Bank authorities to sanction loans of Rs 2.86 crores by violating the bank rules and regulations.
2. The National Disaster Management Authority-NDMA has issued an advisory for citizens not to touch any unknown material. In a social media post, it said, these could be explosive materials that may be dangerous and cause serious injury or death to the people.
3. National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Kashmir Singh Galwaddi, a key Khalistani operative and one of the escapees from the high-profile 2016 Nabha jail break.
4. The Supreme Court has ruled it cannot direct Tamil Nadu, Kerala, or West Bengal to implement the National Education Policy, saying such decisions are outside its constitutional powers under Article 32.

1. India shot down Pakistani Mirage jet during Operation Sindoor
Operation targeted 9 terror camps in Pakistan and POK on May 7
After days of conflict, India and Pak agreed to ceasefire on May 10.
2. Former Indian Army Chief General Manoj Naravane has criticised people raising questions about the suspension of hostilities between India and Pakistan, saying war is not romantic, nor is it a Bollywood movie.
Speaking at an event in Pune on Sunday (11 May 2025), General Naravane said he would go to war if ordered, but diplomacy would be his first choice.
3. Director General Air Operations, Air Marshal AK Bharti stressed that India’s fight was with terrorists and their support infrastructure and not with Pakistan military. He said it is a pity that the Pakistan military chose to intervene and bat for the terrorists which compelled the Indian Armed Forces to respond in kind.
