4. *PM Modi to visit Gujarat on 28 Jul* will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple projects of Sabar Dairy at Gadhoda Chowki, Sabarkantha in Gujarat.

Thereafter on 29 Jul, Prime Minister will travel to Chennai and declare open the 44th Chess Olympiad at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai at around 6 P. M.

5. Over three crore 26 lakh farmers have been issued Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) since February 2020 till this month with a sanctioned limit of three crore 70 lakh rupees.

6. The Lok Sabha passed the Family Courts’ Amendment Bill, 2022 by voice vote. It validates the existence of the three family courts in Himachal Pradesh ( Shimla, Dharmashala, and Mandi) and Two in Nagaland (Dimapur and Kohima) with retrospective effect.

7. The government has said Phase II of Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles in India (FAME India) proposes to give a push to electric vehicles in public transport and encourage adoption of EVs by way of market creation and demand aggregation.

8. I&B Minister Anurag Thakur says Prasar Bharati has signed MoU with IIT, Kanpur to develop Next Generation Broadcast solution Information.

9. Speaking at the 75th Foundation Day celebrations of Delhi University’s Hansraj College, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said the National Education Policy-2020 will prove to be a game-changer. 10. *ANDHRA PRADESH* CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has promised to provide aid to those who suffered damage due to the flood in the Godavari river this month. The CM along with some ministers visited villages in the Konaseema district, affected by the floods.

11. *BIHAR* : At least 20 people were killed due to lightning strikes in Bihar in the past 24 hours. CM Nitish Kumar expressed condolences and announced that an ex-gratia of ₹4 lakh will be given to the dependents of each of the deceased.

12. *CHHATTISGARH* Assembly on Tuesday passed four bills for hike in salaries of the CM, the Leader of Opposition, ministers and MLAs. The CM’s salary will be increased to ₹2.05 lakh per month from the current ₹1.35 lakh. The ministers will get ₹1.90 lakh, a hike of ₹60,000, while the salary of MLAs will be increased to ₹1.60 lakh per month.

13. *GUJARAT* , the state govt set up a three-member committee to look into the incident of chemical misuse in Botad district.

*The committee will examine the reasons behind the incident in which the death toll has gone up to 29 in Bhavnagar and Rojid village.

14. *J&K* : The Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily suspended between Panchtarni and the cave owing to heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir

15. *MANIPUR* govt observed Kargil Vijay Diwas at 1st Battalion Manipur Rifles in Imphal with Chief Minister N Biren Singh gracing the function.

16. *MAHARASHTRA* : The difficulties of Aaditya Thackeray, son of former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, have increased. The central govt has ordered an audit of Aaditya Thackeray’s ministry. Their work for the last two and a half years will be audited. Aaditya Thackeray was the Environment Minister in the Uddhav govt.

17. Over 2.5 lakh operators of autorickshaws and taxis in Maharashtra’s Konkan division will start an indefinite strike from July 31, saying a list of their demands has been ignored by the state government. The main demand is a hike in fares commensurate to a rise in CNG price. The Konkan division consists of Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts.

18. *TELANGANA* : Heavy rain lashes Hyderabad; nearly 100 mm rainfall recorded in just 2 hours. The India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall for the next three days across the State, including Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts.

19. *UTTARA KHAND* : A record number of over 3.8 crore Kanwariyas visited Uttarakhand’s Haridwar during the 12-day Kanwar Yatra this year, Kanwar Mela cell in-charge inspector said.

20. *WEST BENGAL* : PM Modi expresses deep grief on the demise of Padma Shri awardee Dr. Sushovan Bandyopadhyay, famed “one-rupee-doctor” of West Bengal’s Birbhum, In 1984, he was the MLA of Bolpur. In 2020, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Indian Government for his contribution in the field of medicine.

1. *WEST BENGAL* : *School jobs scam* : The Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned TMC MLA Manik Bhattacharya in connection the teacher recruitment scam in West Bengal.

Bhattacharya, who is the ex-president of West Board of Secondary Education and an MLA from Nadia district, has been asked to depose before the officials of ED at CGO complex at 12 noon on Wednesday.

2. *NATIONAL HERALD CASE* : Sonia Gandhi questioned for 6 hrs, summoned again today.

3. *J&K* : The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a supplementary prosecution complaint (equivalent to a charge sheet) against former J&K chief minister Farooq Abdullah and others, including Ahsan Ahmad Mirza, Mir Manzoor Gazanffer, in connection with its probe into the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) money laundering case.

4. *JHARKHAND*: Pankaj Mishra, a political aide of Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, was sent to the custody of Enforcement Directorate (ED) for six more days on Tuesday. He has been arrested over money laundering charges related to alleged illegal mining in Jharkhand. Earlier, the ED seized ₹11.88 crore from 37 bank accounts belonging to Mishra and his associate Dahoo Yadav.

1. *Income Tax Return AY 2022-23* : If you have not yet filed Income Tax Return, then fill it immediately. The last date for filing income tax return is July 31. The government has clearly refused to extend its last date.

2. *Govt amends FCRA rules to reduce compliance burden on citizens* : As per the amended rule any person receiving Foreign contributions of more than 10 Lakh rupees in a financial year from relatives has to intimate to Central Government within three months of receipt. Earlier such monetary threshold limit was one Lakh rupees and intimation to Central Govt. was required within thirty days.

3. Around ₹1.45 lakh crore of revenue was generated during four rounds of bidding on the first day of India’s first-ever 5G spectrum auction, Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said. By September-October this year, 5G services will begin in the country.

2. Malayalam actor Vineeth Thattil has been arrested on attempt to murder charges in Kerala’s Thrissur, police said. Thattil assaulted a man named Alex, which led to the latter being hospitalised.
