Flood

Flood

I am picking all I can,
of whatever is left
after the floor of the era.

There is not much
but enough to remind
me how I lived and
what I had snatched
from others.

Temples broke, God fell,
Trees split, Industries cracked,

without a knock
like an intrusion
it washed away
everything it touched.

Mugging is a bad business.
Trading with coins is still
respectable.

But when we take away
innocence or homes
knowingly
then, a price
has to be paid

with blood or
head.

Stay with
Prerna 🙂
