vivo directors flee india as ed intensifies money laundering probe

Vivo Directors Zhengshen Ou and Zhang Jie have escaped from India as Enforcement Directorate (ED) intensified inquiry into the money laundering case against the Chinese smartphone manufacturing company. ED on Tuesday conducted raids at 44 locations of Vivo and related firms. The raids were conducted under sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

1. In a major step towards boosting the start-up sector in Bangladesh, the first campus-based IT Business Incubator was opened at Chattogram on 06 Jul. The facility named ‘Sheikh Kamal IT Business Incubator’ was inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) in a virtual function.

6. Ex-Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu had received gifts of champagne, cigars and jewellery from billionaire Arnon Milchan, according to a witness in the corruption trial against Netanyahu. Netanyahu is facing corruption cases.
