2. Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Chairman of the African Union, Macky Sall, on Friday held talks on grain exports from Russia and Ukraine in an effort to ease a global food crisis. Russia has blockaded Ukrainian ports, disrupting the export of grains from Ukraine. Africa is heavily dependent on grain supplies from Russia and Ukraine.
