10. *GUJARAT* : Huge explosion and fire have been reported at Deepak Nitrite Company’s plant located at Nandesari Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) in Vadodara.

Fire tenders have been rushed to the spot as 10 people have reportedly been hurt and many are feared trapped. The Vadodara Highway has been closed off due to the fire.

11. Gujarat Patidar leader Hardik Patel, who recently quit Congress, has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday.

12. *J&K* : Kashmiri Pandits, including the employees who were given jobs under a PM’s package for the community, held protests and threatened mass migration after targeted killings in J&K. Many of them have left the valley, according to reports. A 26-year-old bank manager from Rajasthan was shot dead inside the bank by a terrorist on Thursday.

13. Vijay Kumar, a bank manager who was shot dead by a terrorist in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam on Thursday, is eighth victim of targeted killings in Kashmir since May 1. On May 31, a female teacher was shot dead at a school in Kulgam. A man was killed after terrorists attacked a newly-opened wine shop in Baramulla on May 17.

14. *KARNATAKA* : The hijab row has resurfaced in yet another college in the coastal district of Dakshina Kannada, forcing the authorities to suspend six students for wearing the headscarf, despite repeated warnings.

15. *MAHARASHTRA* : The CBI has filed a charge sheet against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and others in a ₹100-crore bribery case, officials said. This comes after a special CBI court allowed dismissed Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vaze to turn an approver and seek pardon in the case. Deshmukh and his two staffers were arrested by the CBI in April.

16. *MADHYA PRADESH*
A 36-year-old Right. to Information (RTI) activist Ranjeet Soni was shot dead by unidentified persons in broad daylight outside the Public Works Department (PWD) office in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha on Thursday.

17. *PUNJAB* govt on Thursday decided to restore the security of all the 434 protectees (from 7 June) in the state whose cover it had pruned. The development comes days after popular Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala — whose security was curtailed by the AAP government — was shot dead in a daring daylight murder.

18. *TELANGANA* : PM Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday greeted people of Telangana on the state’s formation day. PM Modi said people of Telangana are synonymous with hardwork and unparalleled dedication to national progress.

19. *KERALA* govt has issued fresh directives for the police personnel and investigating officers to conduct the inquest of bodies during night hours when an unnatural death case is reported at a police station anywhere in the southern state.

1. Yes Bank is planning to sell a pool of stressed assets worth ₹48,000 crore to US-based JC Flowers Asset Reconstruction Company (ARC), BQ Prime reported. JC Flowers has agreed to place a ₹12,400-crore bid against the stressed assets on sale, ensuring a 25% recovery. Yes Bank will have to invest ₹300-400 crore in the ARC as part of the deal.

2. The Centre for Development of Telematics has signed an agreement with WiSig Networks Private Limited and VVDN Technologies Private Limited for collaboration in the area of Open RAN-based Radio Network for 5G solution.
