2. Bangladesh-India passenger train services to resume from May 29.
It was remaining suspended for close to 2 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Railway Board has issued instructions to resume the Dhaka- Kolkata Maitree Express and Kolkata-Khulna Bandhan express from May 29.
3. President Ram Nath Kovind arrived in Kingstown on 19 May, the capital city of Saint Vincent and Grenadines after concluding his three-day visit to Jamaica.
4. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar today participated in the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday said that BRICS countries need to strengthen security cooperation and they need to maintain close communication and coordination on major international issues. He added that the five BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) should “oppose hegemonism and power politics and work together to build a global community of security for all”.
