1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday went to the AIIMS here and inquired about the health of Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar. The vice-president was admitted to AIIMS early on Sunday after complaining of uneasiness and chest pain.

2. In Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar handed over appointment letters to more than 51,000 teachers recruited under the teacher recruitment examination (TRE) third phase during a function at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

3. The 6th Session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) was adjourned sine die, marking the conclusion of its five-day sitting. During the session, discussions on various issues concerning the state were held, and several government bills and amendment bills were passed.

4. The ‘Patanjali Mega Food and Herbal Park’ inaugurated by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the Special Economic Zone in the MIHAN area of Nagpur. According to Acharya Balkrishna, Managing Director of Patanjali Ayurved, the facility will be Asia’s largest orange processing plant, set up by Patanjali.

5. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has announced that Bangalore City University will be renamed as Dr. Manmohan Singh Bengaluru University in tribute to the former PM.

6. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah announced the plans of the government to form a cooperative organisation for drivers in the country. The minister was speaking at the closing ceremony of the Golden Centenary celebrations of the Ahmedabad District Cooperative (ADC) Bank in Jetalpur, Ahmedabad.

7. Union Home Minister Amit Shah released 24 reprinted books for 2024-25 by the Sastu Sahitya Mudranalaya Trust at Ahmedabad in Gujarat.

8. Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan chaired a high-level review meeting in Jammu on the security situation in the Union Territory. The meeting, which was conducted in two sessions, brings together senior police and security officials from Jammu and Kashmir to assess the security landscape and outline strategies to eradicate terrorism in the region.

9. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah stated that Mithila’s land is the land of knowledge, rituals, and research. He made this statement at the Shashwat Mithila Mahotsav 2025, organized in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

10. Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced that his government will empower women Self Help Groups (SHGs) to set up rice mills, godowns, and other facilities as part of the initiative to make one crore women ‘crorepatis.’ Speaking at a public meeting on the occasion of International Women’s Day in Secunderabad.

11. Congress party on Sunday announced the names of candidates for the ensuing biennial elections to the Legislative Council of Telangana. The party has fielded Addanki Dayakar, Kethavath Shankar Naik and Vijayashanti.

12. BJP national president and Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda announced two new schemes for girls, the Mukhyamantri Balika Samriddhi Yojana and Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana in Tripura.

13. Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta flagged off the All Women Bike rally in the National Capital.

14. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah asked for a report on Sunday after a fashion show in the ski resort of Gulmarg during the fasting month of Ramzan evoked widespread criticism, with Kashmir’s chief priest, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, saying obscenity in the name of tourism promotion will not be tolerated.

15. Commissioner of Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) Shivam Verma said that his organisation is ready to share experiences and hand-holding with other urban local bodies of the country regarding waste management and cleanliness.

1. Punjab, two senior prison officers and four other jail officials were arrested on charges of criminal conspiracy and drug trafficking within jails during two separate search operations.

2. Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officers in a joint operation with Indian Coast Guard seized 29.95 kg hashish oil worth Rs 33 crore and arrested three persons.

3. Ten Bangladeshis were apprehended at the Bhubaneswar railway station on Sunday for allegedly travelling in India without any valid documents.

4. Police team constituted to probe Kathua triple murder. A team has been formed to probe the death of three persons whose bodies were found near a waterfall in a remote forested area in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district. The trio had gone missing on March 5 during a wedding function.

1. Four contractual labourers lost their lives due to suffocation while cleaning a water tank at an under-construction building in Nagpada, Mumbai, yesterday afternoon. The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) rescued five workers and rushed them to J.J. Hospital. Among them, four were declared brought dead.

2. Over 15 days after eight persons went missing, trapped under the debris inside the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel near Domalapenta village in Nagarkurnool district, the rescue agencies at last traced one person and exhumed the body from the debris on Sunday.

1. Army Aims for Glory at Khelo India Winter Games in Gulmarg.

2. KHANJAR-XII Exercise : The 12th edition of the India-Kyrgyzstan Joint Special Forces Exercise KHANJAR-XII is set to take place in Kyrgyzstan from 10 March to 23 March 2025. Since its inception in 2011, Ex KHANJAR XII has evolved into an annual training event. The alternating venues between India and Kyrgyzstan reflect the unique dimension of the thriving strategic relationship.

3. India Boosts Air Defense with Emergency VSHORAD Procurement.
Very Short Range Air Defence (VSHORAD) systems, Since 2020, the Army has attempted to close three deals for two different missile systems, involving 88 launchers, 372 missiles, and associated equipment, but these efforts have been unsuccessful.

3. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh makes history with visit to IAF’s Aerospace Medicine Institute. He visited the IAM of the Indian Air Force (IAF) in Bengaluru, Karnataka on March 09, 2025. Shri Rajnath Singh, the first Raksha Mantri to visit the institute, was briefed about the unique role of IAM in pilot training, their medical evaluation and aeromedical research.

4. The Indian Navy on Saturday achieved a significant milestone as 2,966 Agniveers, including 402 women, 288 SSR (medical asssistant) and 227 Naviks were inducted as trainees after they passed out from INS Chilka, Odisha.

The new batch of Agniveers joined the Indian Navy post the Passing Out Parade (POP) which marked the culmination of 16 weeks of rigorous initiation naval training.
