Damn Critics

Damn Critics

you read
red verses
& rejoice in
oblique rhymes

you do
the background readings,
& break it into many:
say for example,
setting,
themes, conflict,
characters, &
plot.

then,
you coat it
with fur or jute
as per your mood

with your ordinary
IQ,
you guess the cost.

but what you don’t
know, is the price.

price that every
budding writer
pays every night

price that comes
at the cost of
Only writing,
that he/she is left with
red drops
at night
to scribble,
with
No Ink.
