e Sanjeevani Tele consultation facility

1. Govt launched e-Sanjeevani Tele-consultation facility at one lakh centers from April 16: Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya said.

2. Over three lakh e-Sanjeevani Tele-consultations were provided to the people in a single day through the Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres across the country. This facility has been launched with the aim of helping the people living in remote villages in the country receive medical advice from various health experts.

3. The Indian Railways is planning to run its diesel locomotives fleet using bio-diesel.

4. Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has dismissed the media reports as incorrect that the government has stopped doing natural gas allocation to City Gas Distributors-CGD.

14. Ex-Army chief JJ Singh said Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) must clarify if it supports the “pro-separatist and anti-India” views of British Labour Party MP Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi. This comes after Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha met Dhesi on Friday. Singh added that Mann must disclose what transpired during their meeting.

1. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be travelling to the US on an official visit beginning April 18 to attend the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank,. the G20 Finance Ministers meeting and the Central Bank Governor Meeting (FMCBG).

2. Nirmala Sitharaman will also attend an event at the Atlantic Council, a prominent think tank based in Washington DC, and will also interact with the faculty and students at Stanford University.

3. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has recently presented a set of Time Release Studies (TRS) that have been conducted by the department. TRS is a tool for performance measurement and assesses the international trade’s cargo clearance process.

4. Union Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat Karad has said that so far 45 crore bank accounts of beneficiaries have been opened under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana- PMJDY.

1. After China constructed a bridge over the Pangong lake in Ladakh, a senior official of the Chushul region has claimed that it has now installed mobile towers near its side of the border.

2. Chushul Councillor Konchok Stanzin in a tweet flagged the issue and claimed that three mobile towers have been installed near China’s hot spring very close to the Indian territory.
