5. The Andhra Pradesh government started a review of the suggestions and objections on the formation of new districts under the district reorganization plan. 6. The Budget Session of the Andhra Pradesh Legislature is likely to commence from March 7 for about 20 days. Finance minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy is expected to present the state Budget with an estimate of Rs 2.30 lakh crore.

15. A petrol bomb was thrown at a crowd gathered outside a cinema hall screening actor Ajith Kumar’s movie ‘Valimai’ in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The incident happened on Thursday morning when a duo on bike threw the bomb at a man erecting the star’s flex board and injured him. Police suspect the attack’s motive to be rivalry between the actor’s fans.
16. Veteran Malayalam film and stage actress, KPAC Lalitha has passed away at 74 on 22 Feb. In a career spanning five decades, she starred in over 550 films in Malayalam and Tamil. Born as Maheswari Amma in Kayamkulam of Alappuzha, the actress had joined K.P.A.C (Kerala People’s Arts Club), a prominent drama troop in Kerala.

17. PM Modi chaired a Cabinet Committee on Security meeting this evening. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and NSA Ajit Doval were among those who were present in the meeting. The meeting came on a day when Russia launched special military operation on Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region.
