1. Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Ministry under its SANKALP programme has brought an initiative to fund a stipend for one thousand apprentices across Central Ministries for one year. The initiative has been developed so that the youth of the country benefit by learning hands-on skills by way of domain-specific apprenticeship opportunities.

2. The Centre on Tuesday announced that the PM CARES for Children Scheme has been extended till February 28, 2022. The Union Ministry of Women and Child Development said that all eligible children can be registered for the scheme till the extended date to avail its benefits.

3. PM Modi To Address Webinar On Positive Impact Of Union Budget 2022 On Water & Sanitation Under ‘Har Ghar Jal’

4. PM Modi will deliver the inaugural address in a webinar to being organized by Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry and Rural Development Ministry along with other Ministries on 23 Feb . The programme is part of the series of webinars announced by the government on the title ‘Leaving No Citizen Behind’ to discuss ways for effective implementation of initiatives announced in Union Budget 2022-23.

5. MAHARASHTRA : Bombay High Court has directed Maharashtra government to submit a report on current status of CCTVs installations at Police stations.

6. MIZORAM ; A Budget session of Mizoram Legislative Assembly has begun with the policy address by Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati. Chief Minister Zoramthanga, who is also holding the Finance portfolio, will present the budget for 2022-23 on 24th of this month.

8. TAMIL NADU : DMK
gets majority in Chennai by winning 153 wards in TN urban local polls. Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin-led DMK on won 153 wards out of 200 in Chennai in urban local body polls. Congress won 13 wards and AIADMK won 15 wards. BJP settled for one ward and CPI(M) won four wards.

9. UTTAR PRADESH : In the poll-bound Uttar Pradesh, all the necessary preparations have been made for the Fourth of the Seven-Phase polling of Assembly Elections today. The polling will be conducted from 7.00 A.M. to 6.00 P.M

10. WEST BENGAL: CM Mamata Banerjee has sought Centre’s help to check land erosion on banks of river Ganga in three districts. In a letter to the PM, she urged him to intervene so that flood management schemes can start at the earliest. She also mentioned that erosion following the Farakka barrage construction led to loss of properties and agricultural land.

12.Union Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman chaired a post-budget meeting with heads of Banks, Non-Banking Financial Institutions and Financial Institutions in Mumbai. 13.Singer Jane Marczewski, who gained widespread recognition after her audition last year on ‘America’s Got Talent’, died on February 19 at the age of 31 after a prolonged battle with cancer. Marczewski. Known by her stage name ‘Nightbirde’, battled cancer for four years.

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is participating in ‘Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate’ being held across the country on the occasion of 75th year of India’s Independence, ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. ‘Vigyan Sarvatra Pujayate’ is a pan-India programme to showcase science, technology and innovation from every part of the country during 22nd February to 28th February.

15. The Indian Air Force (IAF) and Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) are participating in a bilateral exercise named ‘Eastern Bridge-VI’ from 21 to 25 February 2022 at Air Force Station Jodhpur.The 6th edition of the exercise is aimed at providing an opportunity to enhance operational capability
