1. The High Commission of India in Sri Lanka organised a discussion on INR-LKR trade settlement in Colombo on Tuesday, focusing on strengthening bilateral economic ties.

The event highlighted key aspects of cross-border trade in local currencies, particularly in light of the recent liberalization of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) guidelines by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

2. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has said that the free trade agreement between India and the United Kingdom will prove to be a major milestone in the relations between both countries. Mr Goyal yesterday held a meeting with a delegation led by the UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade, Jonathan Reynolds, in New Delhi.

7. Australia and New Zealand have the highest rates of breast cancer incidence in the world.

It found that the age-standardised incidence rate (ASIR) of breast cancer in Australia and New Zealand in 2022 was 100.3 cases per 1 lakh people. In a new study, researchers from Australia and Canada analysed the breast cancer incidence and mortality rates in 185 countries.
