Delhi: While Delhi is preparing for the assembly election on February 5, 2025, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal has made serious claims related to voter manipulation. Kejriwal claims that some individuals are forcing voters, especially from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, to inject their fingers before the official polling station, potentially decomposing them.

Prior -Pre -Marking Claims

In a recent statement, Kejriwal claimed that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members distribute funds to the slum and mark their fingers with indelible ink, and traditionally indicate that a person was used. He warned that accepting such proposals can lead to legal consequences for recipients, as it can be regarded as participation in electives in elections.

Meeting with the Election Commission

In response to these concerns, Kejriwal met with AAP leader Atisi the Election Commission in India (ECI) on February 4, 2025. During the meeting, he presented evidence that supports his claims and encouraged ECI to take strict measures against the people involved in these alleged activities. ECI has required AAP to complete investigation and strict measures to ensure a fair election process.

Reference to accusations of voter list manipulation

The incident is part of the extensive pattern of claims related to choice integrity in Delhi. Previously, Kejriwal’s BJP accused the manipulation of voter lists by removing the names of people from the marginalized communities and adding fictional entries to the election results.

He presented a 3000 -page dose to ECI, described these alleged irregularities and asked for immediate corrective measures.

Insurance of the Election Commission

After the meeting, ECI AAP assured its commitment to make independent and fair choices. The Commission insisted on its zero option policies in any form of freedom of choice and promised to deploy adequate measures to prevent voters who threaten or force. In addition, ECI highlighted the placement of paramilitary forces, 19,000 home guards and 220 companies of the Delhi Police’s personnel to maintain law and order during the election.

As soon as Delhi reaches his assembly choice, the charges of voter manipulation have increased the tension among political parties. The response to these claims from the Election Commission would be important to maintain public belief in the electoral process and ensure that the principles of democracy are retained.
